About Our Web Site
The House Rabbit Society web site went online in November of 1994. Originally we were located at MIT, and in the summer of 1996 we acquired our own domain name and moved the site to its current location. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people have visited our site; we’ve had over 10 million hits to date.
According to Statshow.com, rabbit.org has a global rank of #214,271 which puts itself among the top 500,000 most popular websites worldwide. It reaches roughly 66,810 users and delivers about 147,030 pageviews each month. We’ve put together a list of the awards and praise our site has accumulated over the past few years.
Paige Parsons is the creator of this site. She originally designed and implemented the site on a Macintosh using BBEdit and Photoshop. Visit Paige’s personal web page to find out more about Paige and her rabbits.
In 2012 we migrated the site to a new WordPress format using a template from Elegant Themes.

House Rabbit Society, and the House Rabbit Society web site, are brought to you by a primarily volunteer staff. We consider all our work for the rabbits a labor of love.
In 2013, we moved to this new site hosted by WordPress. We hope you like it!
