We named Maui for his sunny personality- you know that feeling you get when you're on vacation and everything is cool and you're happy and relaxed? This is the feeling you'll get when you meet Maui. He's an easygoing, friendly guy who just wants to make you happy. He is missing his front incisors, which just means he may need his veggies cut up for him. Here's what his foster family says about him: Maui is a bunny who enjoys the simple things in life like stretching out and munching on hay. He is an easygoing bunny and relaxes in positions that many other rabbits wouldn’t…like resting his chin on the corner of his litter box. He is a very curious bunny so he also enjoys hopping around and checking things out and he does many binkies when exploring. Maui has excellent litter box habits and isn’t a picky eater. He enjoys different types of hay and veggies. Maui is easy to handle and doesn’t mind being picked up.

Victor is a perfect gentleman- sweet and playful- the perfect rabbit companion! Victor is everything you'd want in a bunny. He can be shy when you first meet him- who isn't!- but once he warms up to you, he's engaging and will ask for your attention by being impossibly cute! We're monitoring Victor for an eye issue, for which he is seeing an ophthalmologist. If you're interested in Victor, please contact us to hear about his most recent visit to the vet! It could be that we can resolve his issue with surgery. Otherwise, he'll simply be on some medications. To see more rabbits available for adoption at House Rabbit Society click here. Bettie Lou is a sweet young lady who occasionally likes to have adventures! She could be sitting calmly in the corner napping one minute, but quietly stalking the fruit bowl the next (don't let her!). And it's ADORABLE! She's not misbehaving- she's trying to get your attention! She seems to really enjoy human companionship and as long as you're willing to love her forever, she'll be happy to follow you around the house and hang out with you. Ok, maybe sometimes she'll be content to just flop over near the window for a sunbath. Maybe you'll want to join her! Betty Lou was just diagnosed with a progressive degenerative disease called megacolon, which means she will require medication twice per day for life, plus some special care. Although this condition may shorten her life, we'd still love to find her a forever home for the time she's got! If you'd like to learn more about megacolon and how to manage it at home, please do not hesitate to contact us as we can provide support and information to help you. Isn't Aksel cute?! We think he may have had his cute little nose bitten by someone, perhaps a litter mate, before he arrived at HRS. Poor guy! But, we think it doesn't take away from this handsome guy's good looks. Aksel is a shy bunny when he first meets people, but don't let that fool you! All you need to do is show him you're friendly be petting him or offering a treat, and he's yours! If only it were that easy with people! Aksel enjoys playing with toys and he would also likely be a good candidate for a rabbit friend, if you have a rabbit at home who might like a new companion! Aksel's foster person has this to say bout him: "He's very neat and tidy, and has excellent litter box manners His absolute favorite thing ever is banana. We quickly got into a routine of a bit of banana before bedtime, and he gets so excited for that moment everyday." To see more rabbits available for adoption at House Rabbit Society click here. When I arrived at House Rabbit Society, I had an abscess on my back end and one on my head. HRS was able to treat me and now I feel much better. I'm a pretty friendly guy, and easy to get along with. I like to play and explore, but I also enjoy a good nap. I'm pretty good-looking but I don't let it go to my head or anything. I like to think I make a good friend and would love to get to know you. *Alex has a cataract in one of his eyes which is being seen by the vet in early May. We'll keep you posted on his progress and whether further care is needed. To see more rabbits available for adoption at House Rabbit Society click here. Meredith is w wonderfully sweet bunny who would love to have a forever home. This brave girl is a cancer survivor- she arrived to HRS with a malignant mammary tumor, which was removed. Our vets feel that this type of cancer doesn't normally metastasize but as her adopter, you'll just want to be aware that it's always possible it will recur in the same area. If it does, it will simply require another surgery to remove it. But, Meredith hopes that won't keep you from considering adopting her, because she's a wonderful, loving survivor who would love to share a home with someone who will adore her. Meredith is in a foster home but you can make an appointment to meet her: rabbit-center@rabbit.org House Rabbit Society is a rescue & educational organization. Doodle is a shy, but sweet bunny who would love to win a place in your heart and your home. Like all rabbits who come to HRS, he arrived from the euthanasia list of a local shelter. He was a little nervous when he first arrived but is starting to relax and enjoys human company. He may really love to have a bunny friend, too! Doodle likes to explore and play with toys, but he also enjoys flopping over and napping (which, you have to admit, sounds pretty great). We hope you'll come in for a visit and ask to meet Doodle! He would be thrilled to have captured your attention. Here's what his fosterer has to say about him: "Doodle is a very sweet rabbit and he loves attention. Whenever I go into the room to see him he always greets me. He will either be lazy and lay down or he will be running and jumping around. He loves to be pet on the head. Overall he is a really sweet bunny and he is very sociable." House Rabbit Society is a rescue & educational organization. We welcome new and experienced bunny guardians. My name is Jessica, but you can call me Jess. I'm a friendly bunny who enjoys playing and finding adventure. I'm healthy and happy and would like to find a forever home to call my own. Seriously, have you ever seen such flirtatious eyes? But, Fogg more than just good-looking. He's a gentleman and an adventurer, like Phileas Fogg himself! And while Phileas may have made it around the world in under 80 days, our Fogg is hoping to win your heart in under 80 seconds. Is it working? If you need more convincing, you only have to come to House Rabbit Society for a visit. He'll win you over with his charm as soon as you see him! Here's what Fogg's fosterer says about him: Fogg is a very sweet little bun. Once he gets familiar, he will happily snuggle himself alongside you and he loves to be pet. He can also be very playful, surprising everyone with a flippity jump or tossing his slinky about. Tug/Chew of war with a stick or paper-towel tube is another of his favorites. Fogg lived with us for three months and was a very good house guest- he didn’t chew on the baseboard or anything and for the most part he kept his business in his litter-box corner. All in all a very charming and loveable bun- we’ll miss you Fogg! Abigail is really playful and friendly- she enjoys life to the fullest! She's especially fond of playing with her toys but she's also always ready to stop for a quick pet or a treat. She's curious and full of energy- but also likes to nap and relax. She would be a great bunny to come home to and spend time with each evening! She'd make a great friend to you or your bunny! Here is what her foster person says about her: Abigail loves her toys! She will gladly take you up on any toilet paper roll stuffed with hay - this is as good as a meal to go for her. She also loves to chew willow twigs, toss around toy balls and other play things. Abigail is a neat and tidy bun with her litter box and an enthusiastic friend at meal times. Abigail likes a pretty mellow environment, all the excitement would be best done by her. Her binkies can be quite the treat though, 180 degree mid-air turns are a specialty. Eliza is a gentle, elegant and sweet bunny. She enjoys to be pet on the head and comes when called. She is very smart, likes to play and toss toys around and she loves cardboard-sculpting. She is most active in the evening and early in the morning, and likes to run and do binkies on the bed. She is calm, but not lazy. She also enjoys time on her own, and likes to hide when she is not ready for the public like a diva, but she will come out and seek for love once she had her moment of meditation... She is ok being held, but mostly she likes to run, play and be pet. She is curious and enjoys exploring. A wonderful, little, delicate soul, waiting for a home and a friend for life. She is a generally healthy girl who has had a CT scan to check her teeth (which are great!). She does have a narrowing of her tear ducts which causes her eyes to be chronically weepy, but this is easily taken care of with medication- or a bonded friend to help her keep them clean! It is possible she has mega-colon, which is a degenerative nerve disease, but she's still under observation. In the meantime, the only special care she needs is eye medication and extra love! House Rabbit Society is a rescue and educational organization. We welcome new and experienced bunny guardians. Chelsea's fosterer was kind enough to write up some notes for prospective adopters! "She's SO CUTE. Really pretty coloring and so soft. She's very curious and a bit of a health nut--she loves to exercise and she eats more hay than any bunny I've seen. She'll even eschew her pellets and treats for the hay. Despite her size, she loves to binky and run around in circles super fast. She likes being around people and inquisitively sniffs them out--not shy at all. She picked litter box habits up fast and is now great with her litter.' Hi, I'm Tifa and my BIGGEST dream is to be a really successful food blogger. Seriously, people think carrots are just carrots but only a bunny can appreciate the finer qualities of this crunchy delicacy. I need to tell the people! I also have some strong opinions about kale (it's not just for hipsters, you know). But, I can't blog in the shelter here. I mean, I'm sure House Rabbit Society would give me a computer if I asked to borrow one, it's not that. I'm just not in the right headspace. I need a comfy home and a good friend to bounce good ideas off of. I also need someone who will provide a supportive environment and, of course, carrots. I guess what I'm saying is probably the same thing you've gone through. We all have hopes and dreams and some of them would just be better with a friend. Bunnies need friends, too. That carrot, whether I learn to use a keyboard or not, will taste so much sweeter if you give it to me. And those cuddles we share will be so much cuddlier if I know you're going to love me forever. I'm a good friend back, by the way. I promise to support you in all of your hopes and dreams, too! I want to be your best bunny who will cheer all of your successes and be here for you when you need to just share a carrot.
