Rodney (boy, gray+white) and Blueberry (girl, brown+white) were adopted as a bonded pair from House Rabbit Society back in October 2007. Prior to adopting them, their family visited them weekly for over a year (and before that, at Oakland animal shelter) while waiting to move into a house that allowed pets.
Once they were home, they lived happily and lazily with them until 2013, when Blueberry passed on July 3rd after a hard fight with thymoma, and Rodney five months afterwards after realizing his Blueberry would not be coming back.
Now, one year after Blueberry’s passing, their family would like to make a lasting contribution in their memory by matching all gifts to House Rabbit Society up to $1,000, in hopes that it will help rescue and care for bunnies in need, so that other families can experience the warmth and joy of a house rabbit (or even better, two)!
