Benefits of Membership
The House Rabbit Society has been devoted to saving rabbits and bettering their lives for twenty years. We'd like to invite you to join us, and the more than 7,000 members world-wide who want to make the world a better place for rabbits. In summary, the benefits of membership are:
- Helping rabbits.
- The House Rabbit Journal
- Local chapter membership
- A chance to become involved
When you join House Rabbit Society, you give something to rabbits, but you also get something in return.
You'll be helping rabbits. You'll have the satisfaction of helping to save domestic rabbits across the country. Your voice will be heard through our outreach efforts such as The House Rabbit Journal and this website. Your membership counts!
The House Rabbit Journal. You'll stay well informed with the publication, The House Rabbit Journal. Featuring health articles written by nationally-known veterinarians, behavior articles by HRS behaviorists, helpful hints, fun stories, and beautiful photos and artwork, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.
Local chapter membership. As a member of your local chapter, you'll receive up-to-date news on local issues through the local newsletter, plus invitations to chapter events, and in many areas, discounts on perks like hay. You can also volunteer for local rescue and educational efforts.
You get a chance to become involved. If you wish to be more closely involved in our efforts, you can think about joining your local chapter's fostering or educational programs, or even joining the national organization as a licensed HRS Educator, Fosterer, or Chapter Manager. If you are interested in deepening your involvement, please email Herta Rodina, HRS Volunteer Coordinator by email here.
