Happy Endings
Harriett
Harriett, from HRS, has finally found her forever home! Doug, her new dad, sent us this wonderful video of Harriet and her new bonded companion, Homer, eating their dinner. I especially enjoyed the end of the video when they finish their meal, Harriett hops away, and Homer follows her. Congrats to the new happy bunny couple, and thank you to Doug for adopting Harriett! It is so wonderful to know that she has gone to such a wonderful home. o
Panda
Panda is such a wonderful little bunny! He’s friendly and very playful. He’s also very adventurous and would greatly enjoy a home with plenty of space and toys to entertain him. And you’ll want to entertain him because when he’s very happy, he performs the most amazing binkies!
D’Artagnan
We have the most wonderful news! D’Artagnan was finally adopted yesterday, 2/12/12! It gets even better, too: he is going to be living with Astrid, another HRS Rabbit Center adoptee who was adopted several months ago. D’Artagnan and Astrid had two successful dates before his new mom decided to take him home. Interesting that D’Artagnan and Astrid lived next door to one another at the Rabbit Center, so they were not totally unfamiliar with one another to begin with! Happy Pre-Valentines Day! It seems like bunny love is in the air!
Stinson
Update 2/27/12: Stinson has been adopted by a wonderful couple and is being spoiled in his new home right now! Contratulations, Stinson!
Stinson is an extraordinarily handsome little guy with a huge personality! He is very sweet, loves attention, and has wonderful sense of humor. Won’t you please take him home with you?
Dillinger
Update 2/27/12: Dillinger found his forever home! Good luck and congrats, Dillinger! Dillinger is a busy boy. Lap sitting is not his thing – too many places to go and things to investigate. That said, he doesn’t seem as wound up as some dwarf rabbits, and he is incredibly cute. He loves playing and would love to dash around your house. Come on down and meet him – we know you won’t be able to leave without him!
Nathan
Update 3/6/12: Nathan has been adopted by one of our volunteers! Congratulations to you both!!!
Nathan is a curious and outgoing bunny when he gets out of his cage, though he had us fooled for a while because he’s so quiet when he’s in the cage. He spends most of his cage time flopped over on his side for a good nap. Maybe that’s to conserve his energy, because he sure loves to run when he gets a chance! He would be much happier in an environment where he has plenty of run time and space to do his exercises. He’d probably be happiest with a bunny companion, as he seems a little lonely by himself.
Flynn
Update 1/2012: Flynn has been adopted! Congratulations, Flynn!
Flynn is a character. The shy bunny routine is definitely not his thing – he’s right in your face from the minute he meets you. And he’s not shy about telling you what he thinks about things (he sure didn’t appreciate that apple!). But he’s a very outgoing and spirited guy, and he’ll certainly keep you amused. Flynn is not a dwarf, but he is quite small as rabbits go. He needs lots of room to run, though, so he can burn off that excess energy (and show off his binkying ability!).
James Dean
From the adopter: “James Dean is doing great! He was actually just at the HRS to get his holiday photo taken with his best buddy Tali (his bonded bunny buddy).
Mango
From the adopter: “Mango had a name change…sort of evolved gradually…our boy calls himself Scoots these days. He also goes by: Scootie, Scootzilla, Scoot-tastic, Scoot-o-rama and when he is feeling exceptionally confident…Captain Scootie.
He’s got us trained very well. 
Our Super Pooper has his favorite spots to hang…these spots include under the chair my dad made, under the end table, in the middle of the living room facing you (he looks like the Spynx of Giza). He’s a proud little fellow.
A few weeks ago we started noticing him doing the “frog pose” (hind legs totally stretched out behind him). Super Scoots is quite a character and we love him. He is an acrobat…he’ll manage a series of multiple binks in rapid succession all the way across the living room and then absolutely “sticks his landing”.
I honestly can’t express how happy we are to have this little bun in our lives. I really appreciate all of the care that you folks gave him. Thank you for making it possible for him to be with us as a member of our little family.”
Temperance
From the adopter: “Temperance is doing well, although her name morphed into Turtle. We love her so much. She’s so great. She comes and gets us to show us things (give me more hay, I don’t like that thing, it’s time for food, why can’t I go in this door?, let’s play with this), like Lassie. I swear, she understands English. One time, when I was talking with my husband about how I was concerned that she wasn’t eating her dinner, I felt a hard bump on my leg. She turned around, looked back to make sure I was following, went over to her food bowl, and ate. Oh dear. I am a crazy bunny lady.
