Sponsor Patti for Kansas City HRS!
Patti is one of five domestic rabbits abandoned in the heat of August at a Kansas City park. Following several unsuccessful attempts to get help through Animal Control or the Parks Department, two area animal lovers finally reached out to Kansas City’s chapter of the Missouri House Rabbit Society.
Sadly, by the time our volunteer made contact with the women, all but one of the bunnies was gone – most likely taken by hawks or coyotes.
Poor little Patti was the only one left. She was skinny, infested with fleas and hookworms, but she was alive.
Though still skittish around humans, she welcomes gentle petting and seems grateful for regular meals and the safe environment of her pen.
Now healthy and parasite-free, Patti needs only to be spayed and to meet her “Mr. Right Bun” and her forever home.
It’s the least we can do for this intrepid survivor.
