The Pimpernell

Coat of white and eyes of blue
I’m so glad I rescued you!
Chewed up back and bitten ear
Scrappy, hostile, full of fear
A wretched life you’d come to know
But that was quite some time ago.
You have been my little jewel
Rescued from a life so cruel
How I love to watch you play
Scamper, scurry through your day
Buck-toothed yawns and bunny dance
Munching on my parsley plants
On the grass you dodge and dart
Little girl, you steal my heart
Oh, the joys that I could tell
Of knowing little Pimpernel!
