Lily Buns Rabbit Rescue is the recipient of a $750 HRS Emergency Rescue Grant.
Details of the Emergency Rescue
Lily Buns Rabbit Rescue was contacted by a homeowner who had 30+ rabbits living in their home. It ended up being a total of 56 rabbits, with most female rabbits being pregnant. Many of the rabbits were injured and/or had upper respiratory infections due to spending years exposed to rabbit urine and feces covering the entire home. Many rabbits were also covered in abscesses and/or had missing toes and ears. There were 17 rabbits living outside in a shed, and 10 of these rabbits needed to be euthanized.
