Latest Emergency Rescue Grant goes to Ulster County SPCA

Our latest Emergency Rescue grant has gone to the Ulster County SPCA, for help with a hoarding case with 118 rabbits, many of whom are seriously ill.

As the only Humane Law Enforcement agency in the county, the shelter is often faced with the challenge of taking in large numbers of animals at a moment’s notice when the circumstances require immediate removal and care for the animals. This represents the third large scale animal rescue in the past year, with most of the animals for all three cases still at the shelter. The costs associated with providing daily husbandry and veterinary care are exorbitant. Your donation provides direct care for these rabbits and animals needing rescue from neglectful and abusive situations.
