Lilah and Heather Get a New Chance

This week, an East Bay laboratory released Heather and Lillian to the House Rabbit Society Rabbit Center.

Rabbit Center staff members removed their aluminum ear ID tags, and they spent the day in exercise pens in the library.  It was a big day of firsts – their first day out of small wire-bottomed cages, their first day eating hay and greens, their first day ever doing binkies.

Tomorrow a volunteer will transport them to the Beagle Freedom Project in Los Angeles, where they will be spayed and placed up for adoption!

Watch this great video by Sandy Parshall and celebrate with us their new lives!
