Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue Receives 3rd HRS Grant of 2022

Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue is the recipient of a $1,000 HRS Emergency Rescue Grant.

Details of the Emergency Rescue

This rescue consisted of 21 rabbits, 19 of which were from taken from a hoarding situation in Bonita Springs, Florida, where cats, dogs, rabbits, and other animals, including ducks and pigs, were found. The other two rabbits were at Lee County Domestic Animal Services. SFHRR took all 21 rabbits, seven of which were later transferred to another rescue, with SFHRR providing expenses to help cover spay/neuter and other medical costs.
