Part four of a series on the benefits of spay/neuter.
Spay/neuter is one of the best things you can do to create mutual happiness with your bunny.
Twenty-five years ago, it was standard practice to confine pet rabbits to an outdoor hutch, lonely and isolated in the backyard. With the advent of safe spay/neuter surgery and a much better understanding of rabbit needs, it is now considered best practice for rabbits to live indoors as welcome and active participants in the family.
A spayed/neutered rabbit is a well-behaved, social, and litter box-trained companion animal. A well-behaved bunny is likewise rewarded with greater freedoms and is more fully incorporated into family life, which as a social creature makes him very, very happy. What does life with a happy rabbit look like? It can be watching movies together while snuggling in bed. Itʼs keeping you company as you scroll Instagram or work at your desk. Youʼll also enjoy watching adorable cuddle sessions with his bonded companion and his big leaps of joy when the mood strikes. Rabbit happiness is running as fast as she can on the living room carpet. You get the idea! Spay/neuter leads to happy bunnies and happy families.
