Janet W. Rebmann, age 71, a beloved resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, crossing the rainbow bridge into eternal peace. She was born on March 1, 1952, in Chicago, to the loving parents John and Irene Widdows.

Jan’s roots were on the south side of Chicago, where she thrived. She received her education at Visitation High School, and later pursued her passion for numbers by studying accounting. She worked as an administrative assistant for Catholic Charities and DuPage Housing Authority, where she made a positive impact. After years of dedicated service, Janet embarked on a well-deserved retirement.

In her retirement years, Janet found her true calling as an advocate for animal welfare. Her heart overflowed with compassion, and she dedicated her life to animal rescue. She took on a leadership role with the House Rabbit Society of Chicago, tirelessly working to improve the lives of countless bunnies. Additionally, she lent her support and expertise to the DuPage Animal Shelter, playing a vital role in finding forever homes for innumerable furry companions.
