1954—2022
Missy Ott Port Richey, Florida passed away September 9, 2022 in her sleep. She was 68 and suffered the majority of her life with Post-Polio Syndrome. Through the years it took an immense physical toll on her, eventually leaving her wheelchair-bound.
She was a passionate animal advocate, a tremendous fighter, and endured tremendous pain, but always kept a smile on her face.
Missy Ott was an educator with House Rabbit Society for 19 years.
She became involved with the old Tampa Bay House Rabbit Society back in 2001, and when she was still able to be physically active. She was very involved with rabbit rescue in Pasco County, FL, and received several awards and several write-ups of appreciation for her work with the County.
